Day 2 - third year placement

Day of clinical placement

1.  hand over at 7 am , 
2. Review folder and bed site check 
3. Medication administration 8 am 
4. Fluid balance chart update 
5. Communication of doctor 
6. S8 , S4 drug check witt co RN . 
7. Personal hygiene care to the patient 
8. discharge planing 
9. Regular observation done.
10. Review Pathology reports 
11. PCA, normal saline, heparin infusion.
12. Wound site, canola site checked and dressing changed if necessary. 
13. MRSA swab - groin, wound 
14. communicate with patient 
15. Alter range of obs and pathology report. 
16. Pathology order
17. Confirm for patient transport to pick up . 
18. Hand over to afternoon staff. 
19. Check all files and folder for fluid balance chart, stool chart, medicine due on the shift
